Ministry of Environment and Oneroad Foundation Light Up New Hopes for Tbong Khmum Students in the New Academic Year

November 1, 2025, Tbong Khmum, Cambodia – A ceremony brimming with hope marked the start of the new school year in Tbong Khmum province. His Excellency Eang Sophallet, Cambodia’s Minister of Environment, led a ministry delegation in collaborating with representatives from the Oneroad Foundation and Tbong Khmum provincial authorities to present local students with special gifts for the new school year, collectively kicking off the 2025-2026 academic year.

Environment Minister’s Inspiring Message Urges Students to Strive for Excellence

At the commencement of the ceremony, H.E. Eang Sophallet, Minister of Environment, delivered a warm and inspiring address. In his speech, the Minister emphasized the paramount importance of education and encouraged students to cherish their learning opportunities and strive to become pillars of the nation. Furthermore, the Minister called on everyone to pay attention to environmental protection and to actively participate in actions to safeguard the environment, working together to build a beautiful homeland.

To motivate students in their academic pursuits, H.E. Eang Sophallet, alongside Mr. Luo Canfa, Chairman of the Oneroad Foundation, and their respective delegations, presented certificates and awards to outstanding students. The awardees beamed with joy, expressing their determination to study even harder to live up to the expectations of the nation, the benevolent supporters, and their schools.

Recognizing the financial hardships faced by some families, the Oneroad Foundation specifically prepared essential learning supplies, including school bags and stationery, for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. These materials will enable them to fully engage in their studies, overcome challenges, and pursue their dreams.

Adhering to its principle of “Monthly Acts of Kindness,” the foundation has been actively involved in public welfare initiatives supporting basic education in Cambodia. This collaboration with the Ministry of Environment for the back-to-school charity event marks another concrete action under the Oneroad Group’s four-year commitment to “giving back to society, supporting education, and promoting environmental awareness.” It also represents a significant investment by the Oneroad Foundation in Cambodia’s educational sector and its public welfare causes.
