The Minister of Environmental Protection visited the Oneroad exhibition hall to support and encourage green travel.
October 23 – His Excellency Eang Sophallet, Minister of Environment of Cambodia, visited the Oneroad Group’s GWM and Zeekr showrooms. He also inspected the Group’s headquarters, expressing support and encouragement for green transportation initiatives.

At the GWM showroom, the Minister learned in detail about the performance of GWM pickup trucks and spoke highly of the Cannon Alpha PHEVmodel in particular. He remarked that plug-in hybrid technology suits Cambodia’s conditions well and serves as an effective transitional solution from conventional energy to new energy. He expressed hope that Oneroad Group will provide the Cambodian public with more environmentally friendly, energy-efficient vehicles that are better suited to local needs, through competitive pricing and enhanced after-sales services.

During his inspection of the Zeekr showroom, the Minister praised Chinese new energy vehicles highly and inquired in detail about the performance, range, and charging time of each model. He expressed hope that Oneroad Group would pay closer attention to the public’s diverse charging needs—such as “fast charging” in urban areas, “emergency charging” in suburban regions, and “standardcharging” at home—to address concerns about charging accessibility and range anxiety. This would effectively encourage the public to learn about and choose new energy vehicles.

The Minister fully affirmed Oneroad Group’s efforts in promoting new environmentally friendly vehicle models in the Cambodian market. He showed keen interest in discussing the initiative of the Ministry of Environment procuring and using Oneroad Group’s eco-friendly vehicles, aiming to encourage broader adoption of new-energy vehicles among the Cambodian public and foster green transportation in the country.
A concurrent piece of good news from this cooperation is that the 2.0T plug-in hybrid global version of the Shanhai Cannon pickup truck, introduced by Oneroad Group, has successfully arrived at the Great Wall Motors showroom in Cambodia and is now officially on sale.

Additionally, H.E. Dr. Eang Sophallet highly appreciated Oneroad Group’s “One Charity per Month” charity campaign. He fondly recalled jointly donating supplies to an underprivileged primary school with the group and shared his personal childhood experience of receiving charitable aid, expressing deep gratitude for such acts.
Both parties agreed to continue carrying out public welfare activities together in the future, with the Ministry of Environment and Oneroad Group committed to working hand in hand in promoting green mobility and charitable initiatives.
